In her own way Janis can be just as philosophical as Arlo.

The first four panels looked real to me.

Nature is part of the real world. Sunshine, birds, butterflies and flowers help us endure the not so pleasant things in the real world.

That was real, too!

Why do we use “real” to mean “unpleasant”?

The Honeysuckle up in the north pasture, it’s smells like a candy store, it doesn’t get any better than that. But just a walk thru my woods with my dogs is pretty awesome also. Life is Good.

What do you have to really complain about Janis??? Think about this… You appear to at least be able to go out and walk, without significant pain or doing self injury!

Makes me wonder why we created something we incorrectly identify as, “the real world,” when we have, as Janis just enjoyed, a (or the) real, real world? Do you ever wonder that too?

Ain’t it a shame.

Early mornings are nice.

Nature IS the real world.

But that is the real world.

We have an RV and see the US, visiting family and friends. That is reality, slow, fun, and loving. Do you job, do well and retire.

We sure have gotten things mixed up, huh?

Husband is upset that he has never seen a hummingbird. He read up on setting up a feeder for them. They seem to be terribly intelligent birds – even apparently understanding that the feeder is filled by specific people and letting them know if the feeder is empty.

We spent several weeks – shopping for a feeder, returning feeders, shopping for the kind of flowers they like and would attract them and so on.

You know that those hummingbirds are actually saying “Hey! Let’s you and me fight!”
