Brutus works way too much for what he gets paid.

Brutus should get a job at Consolidated Cozies, then watch the boss change his tune!

He is a gold standard example. ’Don’t do it like Brutus.’

Could Brutus be used as a tax write off?

Brutus is one employee who’s not the company’s greatest asset.

Well when the Chief, your boss, tenderly hugs you around the shoulders like a long lost old friend, it’s at least a good sign you’re not about to get fired.

Brutus’ greatest contribution to the company will occur when he leaves.

If my boss were to hug me like that I would have mixed feelings. I wouldn’t know whether to enjoy it, or report her to HR.

That’s why I write your payroll off as Entertainment.

Brutus is the numero uno whipping boy. That hug is at first, affectionate. But, later, a sign of dominance. The chief doesn’t value Brutus, but can’t work without him.

The old saying: “Love me, hate me, just don’t ignore me” needs to be rewritten.

Brutus puts up with the chief’s nastiness.

It’s not so much the content of what the Chief said to Brutus, that was his humor at its finest. However, he said it with his arm around Brutus in a very “manly” affectionate way. He actually betrayed his true feelings for the big lug. He actually loves Brutus as much as we do. Though he will probably never admit it….

At least he had his arm around Brutus’ shoulder.

In other words he is the plugger of the company.

Watch his other hand. He might be after Brutus’ wallet.

Chief is actually smiling around Brutus? And sorta hugging him? .What the heck?!?! Has he been drinking????

At first glance, I thought I was in the wrong comic as they looked so happy and Bossman has a sort of smile going on there.

If the Chief ever decides to expand the company’s products beyond Tea Cozies, Gas Lighting would be a logical addition.
