That’s only because he’s a shadow of his former self!

Good strip! The Shadow is severely forgotten as a character now. He was the Batman of his time; so much so that Bob Kane literally copied the character.

Unfortunately “What evil lurks in the hearts of men” wasn’t any of the categories.

But he did run the “Evil That Lurks in the Hearts of Men” category.

Maybe The Blackhand knows….dum dum dum dum!

I knew a woman I used to call “The Shadow”, because, like the 1930s crimefighting hero, she “had the power to cloud men’s minds”.

Unless the category was “What evil lurks in the hearts of men?” – The Shadow would not be expected to know.
