Hmm… now this is a new development: I always kinda assumed Krankus was an aberration and that the rest of the bus drivers were competent public employees who tried and generally succeeded in doing a good job. Now we find out that they are in fact all pathological child-haters out to make the act of riding to school as miserable as possible for the kids.
Has it always been this way, or is this another example of “Funky Winkerbean” leaking into the Crankyverse?
True story. One year when my wife and I were checking out of the hotel following GenCon, we waited 45 minutes for a cart to load all of our luggage and games. Finally, a manager in a 3 piece suit said he would personally bring a cart to our room, load our stuff, and escort us to our vehicle. I looked at him and said, “You are going to help us?” He smiled and said, “This ain’t my first rodeo.” That dude was awesome. Rolled up his sleeves and managed to get all of our luggage in one trip. Was good to his word and got us in our vehicle and on our way.

Ed must have been driving the bus that hit my daughter many years ago.

It’s funny because everyone enjoys making the children who depend on them to get to school and back home suffer.

And they’re wondering why the parents are all picking their kids up now instead of using the school bus.

Well, practice makes perfect. And school bus rodeos are a heck of a lot of fun. (PE)

So, let me get this straight. The “punchline” is essentially Ed bragging that he’s been a huge a$$hole for a very long time?

Sure, let’s torture the children and destroy as much private property as we can.
