First day after 2 hours in, they get a phone call, Zoe is tattling and bossing the others around and Hammie’s antics are scaring everyone including us!
My girls went to a “day camp” during the summer (because both my husband & I worked). It was great until they started to overemphasize sports. Neither of my girls enjoy sports & have balance issues that keep them from being too physical (they could barely even jump-rope). The place had been renovated, including a gorgeous library…but they didn’t let my girls use it as an option. Then they started to be bullied, not only by the other girls, but by the staff (which we didn’t find out about until much later).
Day Camp?? Obviously Wanda is a fraid to let goof the kids. Zoe especially is old enough to go to a week log camp, far away in the wilderness. Hammie woulf be marginal; more for a three day camp.
I never had the opportunity to go to camp in the summer. Where we lived in the projects in Buffalo they didn’t have any and then when I was around 8 we moved here to PA and we lived in an apartment that was 2 buildings away from the library and the library is where me and my sister spent our summers. Now they have camps around here and they even have camps for intercity kids to come to that have never been in the country growing up.

Two hours later Wanda will get a call demanding that she pick Zoe and Hammie imediatly…

I’ve been camp staff. Zoe and Hammie will not present any problem that we haven’t had before and handled just fine. Wren is a little young, though.

What’s the cost of it Darryl?

If this is just a day camp, how is it any different from sending them to school every day? They’ll still be home in time for dinner.

I suppose selling the house and moving while they’re at camp is an option ….

We are the C.I.T.s so pity us.
The kids are brats; the food is hideous.
We’re gonna smoke and drink and fool around.
We’re nookie-bound!…
We are the City Center C.I.T.s!

Most children, I think, want an excuse to be away from home in the summer (anytime)- – not me I always want to be home.

This is just all-day daycare for kids. I had to stay at one of these in the summer because my parents worked.

C’mon Darryl, Wanda deserves the break. I challenge you to spend a week alone with those two.

And we get a good price. Only $750.00 a week for both instead of $375.00 each
