Interesting to see an Upstairs, Downstairs mention.

He can stay with the King and Queen.

No, he’s going to be staying with the Dears. He and Fred will be stealing some sausages later on.

He heard of a palace there called Buckingham. He’ll rent a room there.

Reference is to Upstairs Downstairs, a UK TV series of the 1970s. Think Downton Abbey without the tiaras.

Upstairs, Downstairs. That takes me back a bit.

I still miss Upstairs Downstairs.

And you can say that you’re the World War 1 flying ace returning to Europe…

To update this obscure joke. I hear there is going to be an empty apartment available in Kensington Palace. Prince Andrew is being evicted for not paying rent for 10 years!

He could stay in Windsor Castle – It’s only an hour east into Wimbledon Park from there.

I dunno who those people are, but I do know Miss Georgina says “No”.

Maybe the Doctor could give him a room and lift home.

It’s too bad they don’t have hotels for dogs.

The only reason to watch Downton Abbey was to see the great Maggie Smith.

I do miss Upstairs/Downstairs. It was always followed by Are You Being Served. Two of oh so many wonderful British shows.

Maybe he can stop by the pub, and buy a round for Andy Capp.

Ah, such a delightful surprise to be reminded of the wonderful British series “Upstairs, Downstairs” brought to us in the 1970s on Masterpiece Theater by PBS!
