I well recall the âduck and coverâ drills in school. Later, I figured out that getting under the chair desks wouldnât have done much to protect me the event of a nuclear attack, might have helped in a tornado, but not much else.
I never realized Brutus was aware of his status. I always assumed he was naive and unaware of who he really was. This puts a whole new complexion on the situation.
I worked the âgraveyard shiftâ for 35 years. When the sum came up, it was time to hit the sack. I missed my calling, should have been a vampire, but I donât like the taste of blood. Iâve always been a fussy eater. Turns out to be a good thing.
Ahh poor guy. However, he unlike many of us, knows his lot in life; has learned to accept his status, but more importantly, knows how to deal with the situation. And like in the military, in an artillery barrage, you duck and cover or in Brutusâs case, grin and bear itâŠ..
I donât think itâs just born losers who feel that way at times. Even very successful people have moments when they just donât want to face the day, and what they might have to deal with.
