    Why not Kevin McCarthy?

He’s proven what a great executive he is, the way he’s taken command as Speaker.

Or maybe Rick Scott, who knows all about Medicare.

And don’t forget Raphael Eduardo Cruz, the Canadian.

And Gregg Abbott is obviously ready for the Big Stage.

    .

    Just one POS after another.

Kari Lake. She seems far removed from reality which would put her on par with the great orange one.

All RINOs and traitors. I am your Lord thy Trump, thou shalt not have strange politicians before me.

It’s Trump all the way down.

As the Repubs move away from their traditional “small government” platform to one embracing social control of ideas they don’t like, they’re going to find out what most of the nation feels about those philosophies. 2024 will see the streak of a Repub not winning the popular presidential vote another 4 years (Shrub in 2004 was the last to do so).

At least the GOP is offering choices. There has to be some one to vote for besides the Democratic ticket.

When you think back on some of the minor indiscretions that made candidates drop out of their races in the past, it’s incredible that the leading candidate for the Republican nomination was just found guilty of sexual assault and his poll numbers actually went up.

I’d vote for anyone of those, including the fat orange one, before I vote for Kamala Harris.

I once told McCarthy that he would make a good president. He had a real job before entering politics, good ideas, middle of the roader on most things, and understood the system among other things. His reply was not interested – he said that the best presidents would be state governors — they would have had a chance to prove that they were successful administrators, could balance a budget, reconcile different philosophies of government, etc. The president after all is the chief administrator of the bureaucracy and leader of the country. the job is to implement the law, not make it. The job of congress is to pass sensible laws that promote the good of the country. The job of the Supreme Court is to ultimately enforce those laws. Unfortunately, I am still waiting for that to occur in the present day.
