Andy laughs at even the idea of work.

My mother’s friend was the clerk of court. She said that when the prosecutor asked the defendant how much they had had to drink, the judge, the defense attorney, the prosecutor and she could not look at one another or they would burst out laughing. This was because the answer was always, “I only had three beers.”

I’ll wager the judge grins from ear to ear when he throws Capp into jail!!

I used to drink with our local Justice of the Peace, he was cool…always drunker than I was. Never went in front of him

Lots of judges today are doing things that are laughable.

A judge that laughs at work, especially one of those sadistic laughs, is a judge to avoid at all cost

Andy always smiles and laughs at work, too. He doesn’t do any.

They do not laugh in court. They wait until they are all at the bar together, then laugh at the work stories they share.

Andy should only go the the bar that all the Judges go to, then he can never be sentenced as he would Know each one personally. That is the first thing they ask a jury, does anyone knw the defendant? Your excused…

That would work pretty well, if he wanted a job on the reboot of Night Court, especially now that John Laroquette is (apparently) leaving the show.

As a lawyer, he passed the bar. As a judge, he stopped right in.

I’m sure that after the trials are over, many magistrates have a good laugh at both the absurd things the defendants have done and the absurd excuses their attorneys try to get them off on.

Andy, you should be used to being judged by now.

I’m sure Hizzonor gets a good laugh at Andy’s alibies.

As a cop, I had MANY a laugh at some of the situations. I’m sure it’s the same for judges!

And Andy adds: “I’ll thank you not to mention that four letter word ‘work’ around me!”

You will note that Andrew has pulled the pint away from hizzoner. Wonder why he does not trust the judiciary.

I judge Andy’s pint to be half empty. Barkeep! My round.

You never know what laughter there may be “in chambers” over some ridiculous scoff-law’s attempts to get off. Who knows, Andy himself may have contributed much merriment among judges and lawyers.

I doubt that judge would be laughing and smiling if Andy was in HIS court.

His biggest laugh is when he hears Andy’s alibi

I can smile and laugh at work but that’s all. I don’t discuss my personal life.

I would think every time Andy Capp defends himself in court always gets a laugh.

That wouldn’t work for Andy, he doesn’t have a job.
