There are a lot of things that are a lot less romantic than they seem in the movies or the ads. Cruises, for example.

Went on one cruise. That’ll last me a lifetime.

This from a guy who’s never been south of NYC.

I tried a mint julep once. Decided that, if I want mint, I’ll ‘do’ a peppermint pattie.

Sitting on the veranda and having a drink with someone can be as romantic as you wish it to be.

Don’t forget the fresh mint.

Sitting on the front porch as I read this. A cup of coffee is about all I can handle at 6:00 in the morning. Maybe add some Baileys to it when I retire in a couple of weeks.
