Earl, Earl, Earl. One really should not do #2 nor even #1 in the cat’s litterbox. But, hey, at least you did not do #11. Gentle readers, do you care to guess what #11 is?
It’s hard enough to have only one bathroom when you live with another person. Now he has to wait for the cat to do her business? Skip that. Let her do her business in her litter box like a proper cat!
Is the implication that Earl is doing his business in Muffin’s litter box? Or is Opal just euphemistically referring to the toilet as “Muffin’s litter box” now? I guess if you’re Earl, nothing makes your point more impressively than taking a dump in the litter box!
Many years ago comedian Robert Schimmel told how he taught his cat to use the toilet and he used the litter box for the same reason as Earl. When a neighbor came in to his apartment and saw the litter box he said " You must have a huge cat, and you feed it corn??
I own a 2 family house. Each apartment has 1 bathroom. I have not rented out the upper apartment (I live in the duplex) since 2016. I keep it available for visiting family. In the meantime, we use that bathroom when needed. LOVE having it! 4 litter boxes are in my basement. The kitties strictly use their own – showing no interest in ours and vice versa!
That’s why I had outdoor farm cats. Never in the house, never had that potty problem, and unfortunately most don’t live long enough to be a problem. For this case Earl, Muffin should get a time out, outdoors.
I grew up in a typical Levitt home on Long Island. Just 2 BR, bath & living and dining rooms. My parents busted out the dormer and created 2 more large bedrooms and a bath upstairs for my brother and me. That was typical to open up the upstairs eventually.
I wish our stray cat would use the litter box, instead of wanting to go outside. But being a stray, she obviously doesn’t know what a litter box is for, even when we put her in it.

Good thing they don’t have a bidet, I’ve never heard of a cat trained to use one of those.

What’s Earl going to do when he realizes there’s no TP next to Muffin’s box?

I guess there’s only one bathroom in the house. I wish I could teach my cats to use the toilet. I’d save a fortune on cat litter.

I notice that the TP is hung the proper way for a family with a cat.

Once again this is worthy of a crossover wit TEN CATS at GoComics! Hilarious. Earl and Muffin could have their own strip soon.

Earl and Muffin could have their own strip soon. I wonder when Opal will try using Muffie’s litter box…..
