I worked for a “data broker” in the days before people had their own Internet access. A graduate student hired him to do “research” for her thesis. She submitted his summary results without editing in any way to her thesis committee. Of course, they rejected it. My boss had warned her but people never listen. I doubt she ever got her degree.
