I’m inclined to think that Wally, not Cracky is becoming the dominant personality again. I wonder if that could be why Marx dropped them here at this point in time?
Back when the Marx family was grabbing folks, it appeared that they were going from a list, and not taking everyone. I thought maybe they were taking only those that were abducted for the project, but then there seemed to be an issue with Kirbee and Chic. I saw that as only one of them was supposed to go, but because Kirbee and Chic (and Irving, eventually) were so entangled, the Marxes compromised and took them all. So…what criteria for choice? Chic was born (actually hatched) as an anthro, while Kirbee wasn’t (she grexed as an adult). So…were the Marxes trying to keep only Chic? I don’t think this in an “alternative” Eden. The nature of the project should have made this a unique occurrance in all dimensions (since it’s been pushed outside of them to create the tension that may destroy everything.) So if we see anyone, who will they be? I’m guessing Eden Project folks that voluntarily became anthros. Hey…guesses are still free. :-)

I don’t know what’s going on in this story anymore. Everything stopped making sense when the whole cardoodle plot was introduced.
So, there isn’t a disease anymore but they are actually mixing themselves with cartoons. Okay, then what’s the plan now? They can’t cure “cartoons” or anything of the sort. But the cartoons are also ultra mega realistic and can be killed and eaten as real animals like what was happening in Endtown (you know, the town that gave this comic its name and it’s nowhere to be seen or mentioned again for a long time now)?
Wally is a “main character” now in a 4th wall sense of the word, however, he’s dead but not really. That’s Cracked cat now but now really.
What even happened to Duffy’s brother? He saw Duffy, then ran away, and then when Duffy saw “him”, it wasn’t really him.
This story has become a salad of ideas and I’m having increasingly difficulty to follow what’s the end goal here.

You guys need to run extra fast; not only is Eden collapsing, but the new pages are arriving at a dizzying pace!

Marx did say……

Practical, if grim, advice. Eden is done, time for a fast getaway and then time to mourn.

It looks like Duffy lost the haint amulet somewhere along the way unless it’s tucked out of sight beneath his shirt.
He’s really grown a lot during these adventures. He’s not the cocky obnoxious kid he once was.

Just noticed – while it was Duffy, this does appear to be the first time I have heard Kirby referred to as Wally’s wife.
