Of people charged with not paying taxes that are due, only a small percentage actually suffer actual charges or face jail time as long as they pay the back taxes and fines, as Hunter did. Also, people often lie on gun applications with little ramification.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) criticized the idea that former President Trump is a victim of a “two-tiered” justice system after he was indicted last week on federal charges related to his handling of classified materials.
“The idea that there’s a two-tiered justice system and somehow the person on the short end of the stick is one of the most powerful and wealthy people that this country has known? I don’t think so,” Ocasio-Cortez told The Independent.
I wondered who the two guys who hadn’t paid their taxes were. One was a guy who just didn’t pay them, and the other was a guy who filed a false return asking for $7.3 million. It’s shameful that they were treated differently!
Wesley Snipes filed false tax documents including false tax refund documents. He lied and said he was a non-resident immigrant when in fact he was born in the U.S. He made the argument that the IRS is a fake government institution.
Hunter Biden forgot to pay taxes, paid them late including late fees. He admitted his guilt and didn’t try and defraud th government.
The MAGAts are saying that Hunter Biden’s “sweetheart deal” is proof of a 2-tier justice system.
Robert Birchum, a retired air force officer, was recently sentenced to 3 years for mishandling 300-odd documents. Kendra Kingsbury, a former FBI analyst, was sentenced to 47 months for mishandling 396 documents. So the going rate appears to be about a year per hundred documents. How many thousands of documents did tRump mishandled? If convicted, will he be sentenced at the same rate, a decade per thousand? I doubt it; there is a 2-tier justice system.
Jack Texeira was arrested in April for mishandling documents and confined to a jail cell. He was recently taken out, indicted, and returned to his cell to await his trial. tRump walked into a courtroom, was indicted, and allowed to go home. He is at liberty to travel around. But then, there is a 2-tier justice system.

So, he’s being prosecuted for taxes he’s already paid and for false information on a gun application.
I thought Republicans hated the IRS and the application of gun laws?
Privilege? From a Trump-appointed prosecutor and a Trump-oriented judge?
He could have gotten the chair and you would have complained about the electric bill.

There is no D privilege. When you have no ideas, morals, honesty or shame, you create false cultural narratives in order to acquire or maintain power.

The reason Snipes got three years was because he fought the case and called income taxes illegal.
Besides Snipes, name somebody that went to jail for those charges.
