No Earl you’re no puppy dog. Try something else.

Learn to fetch your OWN snacks. Spouse, who started out shorter than me and is still shrinking (as am I) can no longer reach the top shelves. I got her a “snapper grabber” gizmo but she refuses to use it, so the top shelf is (evil chuckle) all MINE!

He’ll still eventually get fed. Opal won’t treat him like a dog.

All dogs know that the “sad, puppy-dogs eyes” trick only works if you keep them guessing what you want long enough…

I tried that too and it didn’t work for me either.

Earl sometimes reminds me if one of the landlords my late dad had. When I was sitting at the bottom of the stairs chatting away with Mrs. Landlord, her husband was shouting down the stairs: “Erika, I need some undies!!!” I was really astouned that he couldn’t just open the drawer and fetch one by himself. How did he survive all those years?

Earl could, for a change, prepare a meal for his family. Opal would appreciate it.

Is Opal reading “Poke-y-man” that she is jabbing Earl the last few days?!

Well, whether you use the sad eyes or not, Earl, eventually she’s going to feed you.

Because of this strip being off and on rerun mode, I wish Brian Crane declared before 2023 is over to end the Pickles comic strip for good!

A Plugger has a sleep number…it’s one or two or more blankets.

It also works better if ya don’t say it out LOUD.

My wife’s two favorite sayings are, “Your turn to cook” and “You figure out supper because I’m not cooking”.

Opal would likely pass into a coma.

You need a little work on your Big Puppy Dog Eyes, Earl. A soft pleading whimper might help as well.

Why don’t we see Roscoe on the floor, between Earl and Opal? His expressions would add to the toon.

Gave up to fast Earl.. gotta have the same patience as a dog for it to work.. and, don’t be distracted by a nudged elbow or push from a foot.

Opal could also be the bread winner for the family, but instead, she stayed home. Each of them had their “jobs” within the family, with Opal being the perpetual nag.

Fed? Fed-up is more like it.

It works with animals ‘cuz we don’t know what they’re actually thinking.
