My very brief web search didn’t enlighten me, however the coloring (as an example on the tree and squirrel in panel 3) puts me in mind of when dots, lines, and squiggles were regularly used in coloring comics. I recall reading somewhere it was a tape of sorts that the artist could cut to fit. Does anyone else remember this? Or have I officially lost my mind?

Eating birds and butterflies? For shame!
Eating squirrels? More power to you.

There is something to be said for being yourself, but the problem is you may not be that very long around Leopold.

Light snacking seems appropriate for the hot weather season. A butterfly, a bird, and a squirrel make a nice, light lunch for Leopold….
