Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Shows Red’s young age. He prefers Tarzan and Cheeta to Tarzan and Jane.
Cheeta was created for the MGM movies which were later continued by RKO and then reverted to MGM when RKO Studios closed down in the 1950s. In the original stories by Edgar Rice Burroughs, Tarzan’s ape companion was a little monkey named Nikima. Nikima appeared in a 1970s animated cartoon series called Tarzan – Lord of the Jungle in which there was no Jane.
As Rover is a fan of Lassie, Tarzan and Lassie might be a good combination. Lassie was another book character who was adapted for the motion pictures by MGM Studios
Rover ….. I guess you’ll just have to sit this one out …… at least until Red comes down …… then you can put him down and give him, licks ……. :)
My last dog (since crossed the rainbow bridge) was a rescue. I had her for only a few short weeks when I dropped a piece of banana on the floor and let her eat it figuring she would spit it out. Nope, she loved it! Only problem was when I turned around my new dog was foaming at the mouth!!!!
Luckily it was just banana foam, I guess it was hard for her to chew?

Besides, I don’t think Rover can fling his feces like a chimp.

Maybe he went with Cheeta so that Rover wouldn’t be insulted from being called Jane.

Rover could play Trantor. Tarzan’s elephant. He could trample a poacher flatter than a bad joke,
