Sweet dreams, Brutus.

I have a hard enough time staying awake in the movie theater. Lay me back and I’ll be out!

It’s probably a chick flick anyway.

Yup that is me in those fluffy recliners with heat lol .

And at the newest ones you can even order dinner and have it brought to you. Too bad there’s nothing worth watching.

I once tried sleeping in a movie theater, but the soundtrack was too loud.

Money well wasted.

This one brought back memories of the time that I saw the movie “Alien” at the Westgate Theater in Beaverton, Oregon…They had rocking style chairs with curved backs. The movie they showed was in 70 mm with stereo sound on a curved screen.The gut busting scene stayed with me the entire night and I had a hard time getting any sleep.. Those were the days for sure !

My brother fell asleep a few times in a movie theater during a good movie.

I’ve been known to catch a few Zees at the theater.

Brutus is exhausted from contending with Veeblefester all day, The comfortable chair, darkened room and perfect temperature puts him right to sleep. It is strange how a strip can impact you, now I’m yawning…

The only time I fell asleep in the theater was the time I had too many Alice B Toklas brownies.

I waited months for “The Andromeda Strain” to come out. I fell asleep at the end and missed the ending.

Hmmm. Now how does Brutus manage to get that chair home?

On the bright side, if you go to a movie with your other half that you really have no interest in seeing, you can catch see shut-eye. Just don’t snore.

If only airlines would follow suit!

Poor Brutus, all comfy then a bunch of 5 year old’s sit behind him and kick the back of his seat through the movie.

wake him when the movie is over, that way you’ll have all the popcorn to yourself. ;)

Movies are just too loud for me now, so I am glad I have heated recliners at home. I used to go weekly with my child to a movie, and I don’t think either of us ever fell asleep. I know I didn’t. As a 3- or 4-year-old, my child stood on her chair (we were near the back row) and yelled at the people in the movie for crying during ET because ET was just plastic! (No, I didn’t tell her that, she figured it out on her own.) She never addressed the audience again. Just that one time. Normally she just sat quietly and watched the movies.

Could have stayed home and saved 200 bucks. Dinner and movie. Yeah, great. Well Mr. Brutus is enjoying it. That’s makes a great date night.

Considering the kind of movie Gladys would probably choose, Brutus is probably doing the only smart thing.

To the victor go the spoils….sleep well Brutus, sleep well!

When I was a kid we had two theaters (both owned by the same family) across from each other in downtown. One was The Palace and the other was The Queen. At one time the city jail was under the Palace screen/stage. Both closed in the late 70’s or early 80’s. The Queen was not maintained very well. It was used for storage. The roof leaked and finally caved in. About 10 or 15 tears ago an organization was started to restore the theater. The first thing was the neon lit crown that rotated. The Palace was used for Spanish movie now and then. It was used by the local amateur live theater group. I went to one and thought about childhood memories. About a week after that performance the roof collapsed. A railroad ran right behind the theater and probably helped it collapse. The owner gave the theater to the city in exchange for cancelling the owed taxes on the building. It is now an outdoor theater with the snack bar and projection booth still standing in the front and the stage and screen in the rear.

A perfect date – they are both happy!

They’re pretty desperate to get people back in the theaters. These days, what’s the point. It’s in theaters one week, and streaming the next week.

Been a long time since I have gone out to the movies. Don’t ever remember seats being that comfortable. Must have been a boring movie though or a very long, tiring day at work, which I don’t believe could ever be the case with Brutus. Might want to think about getting one of those for yourself at home……

i don’t need to pay admission fees to fall asleep during a movie. i can do that in the comfort of my living room…

$12.00 to take a nap, I don’t think so. I have a DVD set of a series I like to watch, (Hint: Features Bob Crane and Werner Klemperer) and almost always fall asleep when I start it. I have seen each episode at least 10 times, so I can gain comfort from the fact that I’m not missing anything. I can always replay it when I wake up if I need to. The first nap cost me $45.00, all the ones afterward were free.
