You can see the inherent stupidity of man by the warning labels on products these days, because every one of those labels has a stupid person or persons that caused the need for the warning.
On curling irons: “Do not insert into any orifice.”
On Preparation H: “For external use only.”
On baby strollers: “Remove Child Before Folding..”
On chainsaws: “Do not hold the wrong end of a chainsaw.”
One of the examples were are given on safety and warnings includes an example that happened in the States. Three men decided to cut holes in a plank of wood and then stuck the tops of their heads through them. The other then went over them with a lawn mower to give them a hair cut. Needless to say, they got scalped instead. But here’s the nutty part – they sued the lawn mower manufacturer because it didn’t tell them NOT to do it – and they won. Clearly this was a while ago, but that’s why there are statements like “only to be used for the purpose intended” because there are idiots out there that even idiots think are stupid. Need warning labels on everything to prevent getting sued.
II remember a Road Runner cartoon where after failing again, the coyote looks at the label on an Acme product and it says “Not for use against road runners.”

I have more than once been amused to watch a mouse remove the bait from such a trap, nibble by nibble, without ever setting it off.
I’ve also known more than one human to have such a trap snap shut on their finger.
