I know what Gus means. All us boomer kids knew the lyrics to Tony’s songs more than other crooners. I left my heart in San Fransisco, was one of my favorites, but it would probably be I left my home in San Fransisco now.

(sigh) Another great one gone. The new ones just don’t seem to quite measure up, although there are some great voices out there.

My parents had a Tony Bennett album, and when I was a kid, it was my favorite one of their albums.

And it was amazing watching him have a career comeback when he was about 70.

Just now learning of his death on July 21st. Sad to know he’s gone. Like Gus, I’ve never lived in a world without Tony…….but what an amazing thing it is that with today’s technology he is still around.

Tony lived a full and wonderful life. RIP!

Accidents will happen!

Tony had completely lost his facilities due to Alzheimer’s until the band struck up and he walked on stage for the last performance, and then he was 100% back. See the CBS 60 Minutes documentary of that final show on Paramount+.

Tony Bennett was a wonderful entertainer.

Now I guess I have to find out who Diana Krall is.

I’ve never lived in a world without Pee Wee Herman.

Maybe it’s due to them talking about things that matter to them.

I saw him in an episode of Muppets Tonight episode. He had that smooth tone of voice gifted to the very few.

Don’t feel old yet, though I am definitely in the supposed age group…..
