We learned several decades ago that great white sharks eat cars, didn’t we? Why then would Sherman boggle at eating a mere book? Does he not have even a smidgen of the grit and gluttony of the great Bruce?

Actually, when the answer is no, Sherman usually asks himself if he should try eating it anyway. You know… just in case.

I buy ya’ books, and send ya’ to school, and all ’ya do is chew on the covers and eat the pages.

You can, if you put your mind to it.

There are two ways to eat a book – one is to put it in your mouth and chew and swallow – the other is to read it and absorb it’s contents into your brain.

Forget it, Fillmore, the concept of reading is lost on Sherman.

Nice try, Fillmore. You are not going to expand the scope of Sherman.

As far as Sherman is concerned …… what else is there other then “Can I eat this or not” ………….. Of course there is the occasional question ………….. “Can it eat ME” ……. :)
