When I was a child, there was never any discussion of nut allergies, or lactose intolerance, and the word āglutenā was foreign to me ā there must have been people with those common food allergies in the 50s, but I never knew.
My better half has been allergic to milk products since the early 50s, so stayed away from milk products. Recently (15 years ago) had to go for various testing including an allergy test which resulted with finding out that corn, unpeeled apples as well as ālactoseā were the culprits. So it seems some food sensitivities/allergies have been around since at least the 1950s. Now lactose free milk and yogourt are well tolerated and enjoyed.
Hmmm, I see, I see. It appears you have more of a deep-seated identity crisis! Try thisā¦ maybe if you were to stop identifying as a nut and accept yourself as a bean, people would be more tolerant and less prone to anaphylaxis!? Naaaaaaaaaah, Iām just kiddinā ya!
People are so paranoid about everything these daysā¦..if the media would stop making it sound like a ābreaking newsā story, about everything, the sensationalism will wear offā¦.
The immune system needs germs to gain strongerā¦without that, a person canāt fight off a common cold.
Seems to me some people are allergic to more cheap and plentiful things than they are to rare and expensive stuff. No science here, just an observation.
Great art, love it. Cute premise, but what is the % of people are allergic to peanuts? I mean really anaphylactic shock allergic, not just sensitiveā¦
Iām allergic to tree nutsā¦I get mouth sores and headaches when I eat them. Didnāt keep me from eating them when I was young, but in the last 20 years, I try to avoid them. Just seems to get worse the older I get. But I can eat peanuts, and love peanut butter! MMMMMā¦.
A fond childhood memory was when Mr. Peanut came to a local grocery store when I was 7 or 8. He went around and said hi to all of the kids in the store.
