The NBC Nighty News just had a segment about that. It seems no one wants to live next to one.

It is a noisy game. Apparently the sound is roughly the same pitch as those backup beepers on trucks. Having said that, it is a fun game. I got talked into some lessons by my wife (something to do together, you know). After a month, she decided she didn’t like it, but I still enjoy playing once a week or so. Where I live, there are very specific times when pickle ball is allowed

Pickle ball is becoming the new golf joke in comics.

That was JUST on the news last night….how ANNOYING it is to people who live close to the court. In my community, they are not allowed to play before 9am and must stop at dusk. The news story said in this one particular neighborhood, they started at 6:45 and went until 9pm. I would lose my mind!

Nine out of ten neighbors prefer leaf blowers over pickleball.

I leave about 2 blocks away from one, fortunately the sound proofing in my house is sufficient to muffle most of it.

I thought pickle ball was intended for odd ball PE teachers.

As of about a month ago, I’d never even heard of pickleball. I had to look it up. Now it seems that all the cartoonists are in on it and have loads of pickleball comics. Actually starting to get annoying now, but that’s just me.
