From yesterday’s comments to marilynnbyerly who commented, “Night Out Day is also known as Mosquito Feeding Night where I live.”
I almost hate to tell you this, but aside from one day earlier in the season, when the mosquitoes were very bothersome, we have been virtually mosquito free around here. All of last summer and again all of this summer (so far), I’ve hardly seen any mosquitoes. In fact, I don’t remember the last time I saw a mosquito. And I spend a lot of time outside. I sure don’t miss the pests.
Well, we have a “new” mosquito that has invaded the central valley of Calif. Called Egyptus something.?? Anyway it can carry the West Nile Virus and can make you pretty sick. It is VERY aggressive and very tiny. It attacks, gets some blood and leaves. Everyone is checking for standing water as they can propagate in something as small as a bottle cap! I do know their bites itch like the dickens. So using lots of repellent and doing what we can do. Abatement folks tells us the mosquito is here to stay…probably. No fun…
Now that I have my comp back from the shop I am catching up strips and Comments from the 15th to the present. Just read that our prime kitty mover has sustained damage. :-(
I also heard that all the King’s Cats and all the Queen’s kittens are working day and night to put her back together.
Get well soon, Queen of America ! ♥
Those meowzers aren’t gonn-oo adopt themselves out. :-)
Piano lessons? Judging by Annie’s bewildered expression, I don’t think she’s buying it. Maybe Chesney seems to be more of an accordion type. On another note, saw four sparrows, Two juncos, a robin, and a rabbit while out walking today.

Annie could give him some good hugs instead if he told the truth.

Sigh, Chesney! You know you can’t fool Annie. And it’s quite warm out on the loading dock.

Annie is adorable with her new ponytail! Feeling really sad for Chesney, and hoping this isn’t Graham’s way of saying we will never see her again.

All you gotta do is say “I’ma cat and we’re nocturnal!”
