Wizard of Id by Parker and Hart for August 13, 2023

I’m doing that this weekend, not driving. Just doing irrigation and messing around.

When you get out of bed just to sit in a chair, it’s the weekend.

Great weekend…….

Oh yeah, doing nothing on the weekend, perfect, really!

The perfect weekend.

Well what else you is has to does on Sunday eh.

When it’s going to be over 100º F by noon. Sitting inside with the fan blowing some air over you sounds good to me.

Wiz and Blanche have different versions of a good weekend.

That’s my perfect weekend

He is doing something, Blanche…he’s recovering from that mountain trip that the staff took during the week!

When someone asks me how was my weekend I say “Great! I wasn’t at work.”

I do all my best work while chairing.

Yup. Nothing to add. Thanks.

Perfect, except for the nagging wife.

relax, refresh, recharge,from time to time a good thing. Blanche go nag someone else!

With a drink and an umbrella in it even better

As nice as it sounds, a weekend in my chair would result in too many new aches and pains. Gotta move – occasional trips to the “loo” don’t count.

This is what weekends are for.

It won’t really be perfect until there is a football game on TV Sunday afternoon.

It’s going to be in the low 70s here. Good weather for making a small roast with roasted leeks, beets, and steamed beet greens.

When people asked me how my weekend was, I nearly always said “too short.”

I can’t just sit and do nothing. But I can sit and read.

Amazingly, rigor mortise did not set it.

Bad thing about temperature forecast around here is that it always is cooler because the airport is close to the water. How many people live at the airport? I have three outdoor thermometers and each them post from 8° to 10° higher. The exact opposite takes place during the cooler seasons.

Reminds me of my dad; he was a bricklayer and worked hard during the week so he deserved sitting back and doing nothing.
