He comes every day just to hear that.

I don’t know, he’s on the couch.

“You’re a good boy, but you’ll be an even better boy if you get down from my couch.” (Actually, he can’t get down from a couch. For that, he’d need a duck or a goose.)

How about a little scratch behind the ears?

Funny how the “imposter syndrome“ brouhaha started more or less when social media exploded. And all dogs are good boys, unless they’re Chihuahuas. :D
