Well – if it’s anything like around here – it will take so long to go anywhere they will just return home.

We were driving down to Lancaster, PA a couple of weeks ago – something that back in 2019 and before we did at least 5 times a year – often for a day trip as we were doing. Trip should take 3.5 hours. Took 6 hours – almost all the time lost was trying to get off the Island we live on so we could cross another island to get to the mainland (New Jersey). At one point 3 lanes of traffic were down to one due to construction. Coming home late that night – which would avoid the problem spot as only existed in the direction away from the Island there was a backup on the road on the other island and that trip – late night – took 5 hours instead of 3.5 hours.

And husband is planning another trip!
