Get a maple bar. Then if asked if you had a donut, “nope” is truthful.

“Yes, I had a few with my coffee. And look, I brought you some of your favorites”. See, that’s INSTANTLY better :)

With hearing like a deer, eyes like an eagle, and a sense of smell like a bloodhound, it’s easy.

Must be something else, I don’t waste a crumb of donut.

My wife is a bit younger than I and she has an over-active sweet tooth. One of the few things that will get her out of bed early on weekends: Boston Cream donuts. They are sold out by 8 am.

Of course, the fact that he can no longer zip his jacket would be clue. :)

Err…“good” is a relative term when it comes to donuts.

eating a donut is not bad as long as done in moderation. I’d rather die fat and happy than live in misery worrying about everything I eat. I believe God made the Pearly Gates wide enough for everyone.

If husband or I had a doughnut (or anything else) to eat the other would know. Rare we were apart before Covid came along – I went out to work one day a month and went to my embroidery meeting one day a month. Since start of Covid we have been together all the time except when I had to go one (part) day for jury duty and last week I went back to my embroidery meeting for the first time since first week of March 2020. I have my client mailing me her books for me to work at home now. (Though while most of the time since March 2020 it has been due to not wanting to go into Manhattan due to Covid, more recently it is due more to the violence on the subway instead.)
