Good to see you, This Side Up! I guess we don’t see as much of you because the orange one is so pushy, he gets most of the attention.

Today is:

NEVER BEAN BETTER DAY. If you’ve waited for a Never Bean Better Day to enjoy the unconditional love of your canine companion, August 22nd is the day! NATIONAL BAO DAY. At first one might consider it to be just a simple steamed bun. Dumplings aside, this is the flavorful Chinese dough used to make bāozi, or bao. It’s also stuffed with savory meats or sweets. More than a side dish, bao is a type of sandwich. And, this delicious meal grabs attention in the United States. That’s why it’s gaining popularity at every mealtime of the day.

Does anyone know the back story on the other cats? I assume Route 9 was found on said route.

The cast came off yesterday! When the tech was using that saw, it went through and onto my skin. It didn’t draw blood but it sure burned like a sonofagun.

The xray showed it was 95% healed but I have to wear the brace for 4 weeks then have a final xray and checkup.

Well, they found you in your favorite place, hopefully Annie gives you plenty more to play in.

Long time no see, This Side Up!

This-Side-Up…makes so much sense! Now we know where THAT name came from! (Yes, I know it’s probably in the info somewhere…)

Mark walked in the front door at 9:27am. Whew! The cats were all over him. They probably expect souvenirs.

Yup, Graham! Yesterday was about Ms. Lily. Her background needs more specific information though, please.

In fact, if you would be so kind to as to give us the background on the other eight cats (you do have lots and lots of new followers who want to know too!).

PS: Just thinking about all these arcs has gotten me in such a state of ……………………………uh, you get the drift.

Adorbs!!!

Phew, dodged a bullet. Air conditioner went out last night. ( praise be that it wasn’t 125 outside) . Air conditioner guys came this morning…its just the thermostat. It died. Power behind it, everything works fine. They just went back to the shop to get a new one. Electronic gadgetry apparently has a shelf life. It’s 3 years old. They said that’s about how long they live. What? My parent’s thermostat is probably still working 40 years on…its all under warranty, so no money involved.

Oliver has a book coming out!

Awww we love you This Side Up!!!! Would love to see more of the adventures of you, Route 9 and Mr. Hollingsworth. I’m sure you all have stories to tell.

I hope Oliver(THIS Oliver here from 10 Cats) doesn’t want to go visit Garfield! Garfield has a tendency to send cute cats to Abu Dhabi!

Mutts is nice, but what would really be great is if Ten cats did a crossover with Breaking Cat News. It would be interesting to see what the cast of Ten Cats would look like in Georgia Dunn’s style. (Or what the cast of Breaking Cat News would look like in Graham Harrop’s style.) This Side Up needs a chance to shine. On another note, saw four Wilson’s warblers, a Steller’s Jay, a rabbit, a dragonfly, and a sparrow while out walking today.
