Dr. Spaetzle is correct. No win is truly treasured unless underlined by a bruise, a knock, a fall, or an ache or two. It’s a sign of an effort made beyond one’s comfort zone.
Weeks and weeks of the world’s boringest hike itself, now apparently to be followed by weeks and weeks of the post-game analysis? When’s the last time Jef Mallett actually had an original thot?
It is not about losing weight. I am sure his heart, lungs, and various muscles are stronger now than before. He injured his knee near the end, and was still able to finish. If he had injured his knee on day 2, would he have been able to continue at all?

What did he do after his daily hike? Spend the rest of the day eating donuts and pizza and drinking beer? Why didn’t he lose any weight?

I have an overweight relative doing the walking but can’t get the twin part of the program going yet ie food intake management.

Having a rude child talk to you about it afterwards makes it an epic drag

By walking 3.2 miles every day for 66 days, I’ll bet he is in much better shape than if he had tried to do the whole thing at once.
