There was (at least) once an angle shown in Peanuts where you could see the doghouse roof is flat, not peaked. Might have been while flying against the Red Baron.
I saw a similar joke where they showed it from the side and it showed a board sticking out the backside of the doghouse. Of course, all it really needs is a roof that is flat at the top and about 6 inches wide.
Most people think the word “clench” is supposed to spelled “clinch”. Not so. “Clench” is correct when using the ears or the tail for stability. “Clinch” is for all else.
There was a Peanuts strip from the 60s that actually addressed the point. Linus asks CB how do birds keep from falling off branches when they’re asleep. CB says they have muscles in their feet that automatically contract, and that the same principle applies to Snoopy’s ears when he’s sleeping on his roof. Ears, not glutes.

People who tried to mimic this came up with the original “Buns Of Steel” video from the 80s.

So that’s why there never was a cartoon about Snoopy needing to go to the vet to get “expressed.”

Well, I think the clench is from another area…..but it could be he has a Velcro patch hidden somewhere.

This reminds me of the Tarzan meme that is going around… front and back view of him swinging from a vine, Jane in his arm(s)…
