One of those days. Don’t think it is going to get any better any time soon.

Wallace and Spud were able to miss their “Summer of Bad Luck” curse. Mom seems to under a very unlucky curse.

There’s enough fuel in the tank, it’s just the fuel filter that’s busted …

Now Mom and the boys are in the same boat, figuratively speaking, as Dad.

Ask the tourists for a tow behind their kayaks.

Being saved by tourists? Oh, the indignity!

Mom is not having a good arc.

There are things that happen to a car that are mostly annoying. On a boat, those same things are inconvenient or worse. On a plane….

At least they broke down next to some lobster traps – without a phone they can survive on raw lobsters and bait until help arrives

The series of improbable failures is one of my least favorite comedy tropes, but I continue to read because this strip has otherwise been extremely excellent overall

This week has been one long illustration that there is no god but Murphy and Finagle is her prophet.

This storyline rocks, absolutely love it

Oops. As a learning pilot I learned to do a very thorough pre-flight inspection. In some ways it was easy since way before that I used to use boats owned by relatives, and rented, and learned to make sure it had fuel and was water tight!

Tourist on boat: “look at that indigenous mom, clad in her tribe’s traditional attire (the torn tunic is a nice fashion touch!) and her two ragamuffin children; one of them looks like he’s been adopted from a pack of wolves.“
