My dikshonary does not have the word, “lasagna”.

For most people, the dikshonarys are easier to “read” when they are listened to as books on tape.

Many years ago, I picked up a dictionary at (IIRC) Books-a-Million. I opened at random, saw the word “slither” and the definition was for “sliver”. I went home wordless.

Someone once said to me “Why would I want a dictionary. You need to know how to spell the word to find it in the first place”.

“Let me write that down.”…says no-one from the upcoming generations. They’ve not been taught how.

To really drive it home, there should be an apostrophe between the Y and the S at the end.

I’ve been playing a “scrabble” game on line and I’m tempted to spell things phonetically out of frustration. I also want to spell words backwards to make them fit.

Seems to me it’s a simple case of the people of the cartoon universe not spelling “dictionary” the same way we do.
