Why am I confused reading this strip almost every day?? I thought that was Luke in P1 for a second.

VT has a press agent who sends out information about the game? No budget crisis at VT!

It’s not just the players. Even Coach Kim is sporting Milford colors in a polo shirt he pilfered from Gil’s closet. All part of a sinister plot to confuse Gil and his Mudlarks when they step on the field for the big game showdown vs. VT. Leo Atzoondheit starts throwing to defenders who are wide open; ToBe does a reverse rainbow kick; and, “Hot” Rod returns a punt 95 yards in the wrong direction for a Valley Tech TD. Then we find out BHHL is behind it all as he extracts revenge for years of losing the COTY award. You read it here first.

I am sorry, but this strip is insane:

1) Marty has been sober since Henry took over the strip and these kids would not know of his alcoholism;

2) Yesterday, VT extended its unbeaten streak so there is no need for all the nastiness and anger today;

3) VT is again wearing Milford uniforms.

Will someone please tell me what in the world is going on here?

Could the script writer and the colorist communicate as to which school wears what colors?

It’s multiple colorists that work for an art agency. It’s frustrating to keep seeing these mix-ups keep happening. I prefer it in black and white or on paper.

P 2: Do any of these Milford media talking heads use smartphones for their jobs? or are they still wearing a bat utility belt that has everything they need as separate devices?

I don’t know what Marty has lied about lately, or when he was drunk, but this must mean that he isn’t talking to his dad either. Which actually makes sense based on all that happened with baseball and football. And speaking of what happened, Mopped Up Thorp happened while you were working or napping.
