Lawyers are like weathermen and doctors, they get paid no matter what happens.

“Don’t worry, I’ll pay you. At $0.65 an hour working here in Laundry, I’ll have paid off a sizable chunk in 30 years.”

Pay him like the Polish lottery pays. $1 a year for a million years.

Talk to the knuckles.

Read the fine print on my knuckles, “Payment will be applied upon acquittal.”

So sue me. All my other lawyers are doing it when they are not busy defending themselves.

The debt owed them from such deadbeats is entered as an asset on their ledger sheets. They can then take a loan out against that asset. That’s how they turn debt into cash.
