    Well, at least they rob the rope critter at gunpoint rather than killing it. Of course, they want it to grow more rope.

    Also, the use of silkworms to make silk is losing favor. Modern genetic engineers are close to breeding giant spiders for their web silk, although the coarseness of the grade is still an obstacle. Also, the buzz is government approval to breed giant flies to feed the spiders is stuck in EPA committees.

    Always end up with a short rope though because a tangle requires cutting the rope.
