Sorry, it’s Gin I hate. Try tonic water with Jack Daniels.

Cheap gin is horrible. It’s too difficult to make the stuff whilst skimping on the botanicals and the distillation.

When I was a young man, a close friend used to host “gin and tonic fests” every year. “Festival strength” was 1/2 and 1/2. But there were rules. Only Schweppes tonic water & fresh limes, and ALWAYS top shelf gin. No skimping, so it made for a terrific party. Plenty of food, too.

I can’t drink something that smells and tastes like Christmas trees!

I like tonic especially with a little lime. And it glows under black lights.

I never acquired a taste for gin. Scotch was the poison of choice for me. I haven’t had scotch or any hard liquor in several decades.

Perhaps we should try the seasonal pumpkin spice gin.

I can’t remember ever having straight tonic. Unless Cananda Dry comes in Maple flavor, I doubt I ever will.

I discovered that it was the tonic I hated and not the gin when someone made me a gin and 7-Up.

Definitely the gin. I haven’t discovered anything that sufficiently disguises the foul taste of gin.
