meh! cant wait to see the costumes :))Since I’m early, what do you guys think of the show?Personally, im confused by it. The down to earth stories of the novels could’ve made for a GEM of a cartoon. But all this wackiness makes for something SO childish and weird. It still has it’s charm and despite all the toilet humour that i loathe so…so much…it still is pretty funny. Just completely disconnected from the source material. Like, it could have been an original, there was little need for the cast of BN!

So now the joke is mocking Nate’s take, who could have guessed.

4\10, meh, plus the visual of the pellets and everything is gross. Arc going off the rails.

My mom had a sweet tooth for Good & Plenty as she was a licorice nut!

Shame him by all means, dissing Smarties and putting G&P #1. Ugh!

Still cracking up about the rabbit pellets analogy, especially the last panel…Thanks for a good start to my day.

…darnsies, been a while (I defected to Mike & Ikes and Hot Tamales some time ago….) since I took some Good & Plentys, but hey, whooooaaa: I THOUGHT those ’lil guys reminded me of SOMETHING….candy-shamed, IN-DEED!

Wasted week of pointless candy references.

My favorite candy is probably Hershey bars, but pretty much anything with chocolate tops my list.

I wonder if his list came from monitoring candy purchase or the previous year because I have never been consistent from year to year.

Ah. I see the newfound requirement in our world to have an opinion the same as everyone else’s has spread to the Big Nate world. How wonderful.

Strip rating: 3/10 This arc fell off pretty hard… at the start of the week, it was looking pretty good, but as the week went on, now it’s Friday…

This arc brings back candy memories from my childhood. 10/10 for that. Two things I bought at the movies as a kid and never bought anywhere else were milk duds and Good n Plenty. Best candy has to have chocolate and nuts, like Snickers or peanut butter, like Reeses. I had a teacher who would snack on candy corn every day. Ugh! A top seller in my convenience store was red licorice whips. Our German exchange students would bring delicious European chocolates like Ferrero Rocher. The only sugar I get now is from bananas, apples, and oranges!

What’s next Nate ? Raisinets ?

Those are OK but most chocolate would beat them out in my book. Not a bad second tier though…..

I had to do a double take to realize that Nate said “licoricious.”

I also had to look this up. They don’t look horrible, but of course I don’t know the taste.
