meh! cant wait to see the costumes :))Since Iām early, what do you guys think of the show?Personally, im confused by it. The down to earth stories of the novels couldāve made for a GEM of a cartoon. But all this wackiness makes for something SO childish and weird. It still has itās charm and despite all the toilet humour that i loathe soā¦so muchā¦it still is pretty funny. Just completely disconnected from the source material. Like, it could have been an original, there was little need for the cast of BN!
ā¦darnsies, been a while (I defected to Mike & Ikes and Hot Tamales some time agoā¦.) since I took some Good & Plentys, but hey, whooooaaa: I THOUGHT those ālil guys reminded me of SOMETHINGā¦.candy-shamed, IN-DEED!
6/10, so Good & Plentys is a multiple day thing. Okay, I guess. Poll: What is your favorite candy? Mine is probably M&M Ā“ s/Canadian Smarties, they are very similar.
Strip rating: 3/10 This arc fell off pretty hardā¦ at the start of the week, it was looking pretty good, but as the week went on, now itās Fridayā¦
This arc brings back candy memories from my childhood. 10/10 for that. Two things I bought at the movies as a kid and never bought anywhere else were milk duds and Good n Plenty. Best candy has to have chocolate and nuts, like Snickers or peanut butter, like Reeses. I had a teacher who would snack on candy corn every day. Ugh! A top seller in my convenience store was red licorice whips. Our German exchange students would bring delicious European chocolates like Ferrero Rocher. The only sugar I get now is from bananas, apples, and oranges!
Ray: Robertās weird. He doesnāt like to go out to eat because he has a fear of busboys. He canāt carry his dollar bills facing each other because it would be like theyāre kissing.
Debra: Thatās just quirky.
Ray: Yeah? Quirky? He separates his Good ān Plenties into āgoodsā and āplenties.ā Which one is which again?
Robert: Never mind.
Ray: No, no, go ahead. Go ahead.
Robert: The pinks are the āgoods,ā and the whites are the āplenties.ā āCause thereās always more of them. And theyāre not as good. And then thereās a third category of āirregulars.ā

So now the joke is mocking Nateās take, who could have guessed.
4\10, meh, plus the visual of the pellets and everything is gross. Arc going off the rails.

Wasted week of pointless candy references.

My favorite candy is probably Hershey bars, but pretty much anything with chocolate tops my list.
DM2860 over 1 year ago
I wonder if his list came from monitoring candy purchase or the previous year because I have never been consistent from year to year.

Ah. I see the newfound requirement in our world to have an opinion the same as everyone elseās has spread to the Big Nate world. How wonderful.

Let people like what they want. If you dislike black licorice I disagree, but I respect your opinion.
