Typewriter Headquarters? Is that where they have an infinite amount of monkeys with typewriters who work an infinite amount of time, and eventually recreate all of Shakespeare’s masterpieces?
Olivetta Hunt and her beau Underwood Peck ( pictured above ) believe bright eye shadow to be the key to successful marketing – no matter how mundane the product is.
Notable typewriter manufacturers included E. Remington and Sons, IBM, Godrej, Imperial Typewriter Company, Oliver Typewriter Company, Olivetti, Royal Typewriter Company, Smith Corona, Underwood Typewriter Company, Facit, Adler, and Olympia-Werke.
They now have typewriter keyboards for iPads, etc. I am so tempted….
I hated typing class in high school. The teacher looked someone out of Little House on The Prairie! She was boring, mundane and mean!
Never lend your typewriter to anyone….I did and never to be seen well as books, money and lawnmowers! ☺️☺️☺️❤️❤️
I wonder how many people alive have ever used a typewriter. (Internet on a typewriter was really bad!)
As a reporter, I made a living using a typewriter for years. (This is back when there were typesetters in newspaper offices to re-type your stories.) When computers came into our newspaper office they were actually more of a hindrance because they were so clumsy and hard to operate.
But I can’t even imagine working on a typewriter now!
The flowery language of late 19th century “dime novel” romance notwithstanding, the concern for the very latest in cutting edge technology is ever-present. Take me to your typewriter HQ; I’ll need your writer later!

If typewriters were invented today, they would be a lot cheaper, but the ribbons would cost a fortune.

Still have a clackwriter or two hanging around, maybe these guys would exchange them for a good Bic pen?
