I’m a little surprised she doesn’t do it herself. She doesn’t come across as a scared-of-spiders type of girl. Maybe she’s more afraid she’ll hurt them on accident.
Spiders are very much our friends. No need to be mean to them. They are doing you a great service with free pest control. They only come inside if there are things to hunt. Better spiders who stay in one corner and won’t bother you, than whatever is scurrying/flying around they are preying on.
You can use a clear plastic tub (like from grated cheese) and a mailing card big enough to cover the top. just put the tub over the spider, slide the card gently underneath so the spider can crawl up on it, then hold the two pieces together and relocate outside or to a less intrusive location if it’s too cold.
I own ‘bug-catchers’. A bug-catcher is a clear plastic bowl plus a cardboard sheet. Plop the clear bowl over the fly or spider, then slide the sheet underneath the bowl. Pick them both up with the bug inside, then carry it outside and release the bug there.
How to evict a spider (or insect) without hurting its legs:
Take a glass and place it upside-down over the spider. Then get a piece of thin cardboard or card stock and hold the glass while SLOWLY sliding the card underneath it. The spider will either crawl up the glass or onto the card. When the card is all the way under the glass, lift up both and carry the spider outside.
In the winter, I sometimes drop the spider down the air vent in front of the apartment doors. I figure that way it can eat mites in the ventilation system.
Lotta spiders around here. They are far too fast for me to catch, and far too big for me to want in the house. Last one I tried to usher outside managed to get around my broom and duck under cover.
It’s all I can do to sneak up to kill them, sadly. I’d much rather relocate them.

I would dump spiders right next to where my dog did his business, so that they could feast on the flies that were attracted to it.

Just turn on the shower head to send them out. Spiders can breathe underwater, right?

Hope that spider can live outdoors.

Actually, just get a plastic cup or container to trap the spider. Drag it and free the spider outside.

I just put a piece of paper in front of the spider .. usually, they’ll crawl onto it and just hang on for dear life, as I lift them out.

I have a suction device, but it is underpowered for many bugs. I use it for bugs related to lady bugs.

At first glance, I thought they had installed stable doors on their house. That would be cute.

I need that skill myself. It’d make handling the spiders so much easier…

Why not just put a towel on the side of the bathtub for the spider to crawl on then take the towel outside and let the spider out?

is that always what the house looked like?

I always rescue spiders from the tub… if I can catch them. Some of them are very uncooperative.

you can make them levitate with a glass and a piece of cardboard

I appreciate the detail of Marigold’s tail flailing upwards as she lifted up the spider from its place on the wall.
