Okay, for everyone who thinks the ship should be sinking, it is actually possible – in the real world – to have a trap door that allows someone to fall into the water beneath the ship. The doors on the bottom of the ship aren’t even necessary. You could just have the trap door up on the deck that dropped them straight into the water.
