Maybe they were concerned you might flounder. Then you would be in dire straits…..

Wow! It looks like the colorist got some money together to buy some new blue, red, and brown paint. But unfortunately bought not enough blue since he ran out of blue in the second panel (Of course artists don’t have to color it in order of the panel numbers.)

They couldn’t stand his smell. That and he was polluting the water.

They do prefer live bait.

Actually, it is surprising that they threw him back. You would think they would sink hooks into him, rip his skin off and cut him into filets just on general principles.
