At about 2/2:30 am (maybe a bit later) husband will come down to the kitchen. We will have late night snack (takes the place of breakfast the coming morning – have cereal and a snack). I wash the dishes from same and we go up to bed. By 3 to 3:30 we are in bed for the night. He falls asleep. Most nights I am up until around 5 or 6 am and then finally fall asleep – some nights later or no sleep at all. We get up around noon to 1 pm and start the day over. The lifestyle I always wanted!!

Early to bed … Early to rise …

Usually it’s the high point of my day. Instead of saying “Good Night,” my son says, “Have fun sleeping.”

When you consistently wake up at 3:30 am…

I’d go to bed earlier, but I have a bad case of “one more thing.”

Huggers like to sleep wherever their sitting. Long doctors visits can cause me to doze!

I usually wake up from an evening doze-off, note that it’s 9:00 PM and the clock is chiming, get up and go to bed.

While I chuckle about it a bit, I hate myself for identifying with this.

To heck with the clock. If I’m tired, I go to bed. Even in the afternoon. That what’s great about retirement.

My system of going to bed is simple …… when it’s dark and I’m tired ….. I go to bed …… :)
