I died in two world wars for the likes of you! Bring back National Insurance, that’s what I say; couple of years in a building society do ’em a world of good …(A veteran of WWII ranted that at me when I was a kid, and it stuck in my mind.)
We played that in our computer club. Up to 50 people at once, on a 200 × 200 grid. Players emailed the co-ordinates of their shot, and I marked it on the grid. Once all their blocks for their ship were hit, their ship was gone. One clown tried sending GPS co-ordinates. The winner with the last ship floating won prizes worth over $100.00
We had that game growing up and my sister always beat me, of course I beat her in a lot of other board games we played, we each had an equal share of games that we were good at. Living alone I miss being able to play card or board games. I guess I will just stick with my Solitaire and Mah Jong, word games and hidden object games on my computer all by myself.
