Just a flesh wound then.
The art work in the early strips was really nice. It’s one thing that went downhill even when Peanuts moved into the “glory days”
$15.00 was a lot back then. Pretend you missed her, Charlie Brown!
And Patty’s $15 costume would set her parents back $178 today
Poor Snoopy!
Snoopy is so cute here. I had an Indian princess costume when I was age 6 myself. And CB, double check your lyrics
Fifteen dollars was a lot of money in those days, but today you couldn’t even play this game.
A Chuck wagon?
Sunday, 10 February occurred in 1952, so I assume that’s the year this comic published.
Ah an old comic that is not politically correct.
Back when this was originally published, $15 was a lot of money to pay for a costume!
That’s no longer acceptable these days.
Great strip! Sparky at his best!
I wonder if little kids still play Cowboys and Indians. Somehow I doubt it.
We played the same but didn’t have a covered wagon and “horse” to pull it.
That’s one heck of a wagon someone built there. I can’t believe Snoopy can pull it all by himself.
$15.00 today would be around $175.00 today, yikes!! LOL
Charlie Brown’s wagon trail to Pike’s Peak is ambushed.
Call a truce, Snoopy’s exhausted.
They should use paintballs.
Now Patty’s hair is brown, last time we saw her in color it was red. And I’m sure I’ve seen it blonde.
Girl is too young to be dying….
Wow! …cowboys and Indians game! Memories!
Solid point, Patty.
Treace peaty!?!?!
Ah…so many things: stereotypes, cultural appropriation, entitlement of the wealthy, animal abuse…
Pike’s Peak was referred to frequently when I was young. I think Mad Magazine did it a bunch.
Watch out fer them there Injuns, Charlie!
wow – such a long time ago – - before humane correctness
She can just re-spawn. (We did that back in the “olden” days!)
