You have to know your limits. It’s not possible for most people to afford to care for all of the dogs in a shelter. You can, however, adopt ones with special needs who would otherwise be abandoned.
You can’t adopt them, and I have my town’s limit running around the yard. But you can support them. Just choose a no kill shelter and put a donation on your automatic payment list so they can buy some dog food every month.

Try working at a shelter, and leaving them all there at the end of the day.

My wife and I have 4 rescue dogs. We could never foster a dog. That is, we could never give it up. The term for that is: “foster fail”.
And we don’t look at websites for animal shelters. Yes, we’d want to adopt them all, and it breaks our heart.

So true. When I was looking for a dog to adopt my heart broke every single time. Alas, most couldn’t stand cats.

Local shelter here is 150 dogs over populated so they are waiving adoption fees. So hard but just can’t beyond what I already have.

And you totally ignore the cat profiles.

That’s why I don’t checkout animal shelters …. I would want them all ….. :)
