Congress’s dysfunction is emblematic of society. I know this isn’t exactly new behavior. However, the overall rancor can be traced to the proliferation of both social media and quasi-news organizations whose sole purpose is to rile up their viewers so they can make money. If you follow that paradigm to its logical conclusion, the anger-makes-money factor ultimately leads to politicians who enter politics not to help the US but to exploit the country’s voters for personal gain.
I hope enough people realize this so that we can clean house at the next election of these agitative elements and prevent new elements from being elected or re-elected.
I hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving. And remember, for all its numerous faults, this is still one of the best countries in the history of the world.
I take issue with the term Congress. It’s not the whole of congress, just those on the Reich side of the aisle. All the drama and violence (verbal and physical) are coming from republicons.

^ Agree, too many of our elected officials are in "office’ to feed their egos and wallets, not to improve the lives of everyone!

People need to take voting more seriously lest they find themselves in shell of a mess.
