She’s wrong. If they talk about it some people will call them anti-semitic. The very same thing applies if you point it at Hamas. People with a cause do not deal with nuance. Not even obvious “knock ’em on the head” nuance such as distinguishing the administration from the state itself… and the state from its official religion. And the religion itself from its practitioners.
Taking people and hiding them from view and the red Cross, and feeding them a slice of bread and cup of water. Is not the same as arresting people for violence against the government/people putting them in jail, giving 3 meals a day, and a nice track suit
Most of the children held are high school age boys who threw stones at Israeli soldiers. They have been held in “Administrative Detention”, without charge, consoul or trial. Some have been held for years.
Yes, if you talk about what Israel actually does in Palestine, you will be called anti Semitic. Which makes many Jewish organizations “anti Semitic”. Seems silly to call B’tselem anti Semitic, but this is the defensive reaction of the right everywhere, make foolish claims and then say the claim is true because they made it.
For decades I’ve wondered how Americans would act if some foreign government gave their land to other foreigners. Appears many of the above commentators would just roll over & accept it. Or perhaps peacefully protest from wherever they had been herded. Or perhaps the more courageous would go Mano to Mano using small arms & lesser offensive tools against only the far, far better armed & supported (intel, C3, log) occupier’s military & police forces. The lesson as always is things are never as clear as so many simplistically assert. Assertions always lacking viewing without bias the situation & factors from the other side’s eyes.
Just to be clear, administrative detention of Palestinians in Israel allows the Israeli government to hold detainees for as long as a year, or longer, without charging them, the rationale being to hold dangerous terrorists without giving out secret information about them in order to preserve Israel’s national security. Because of this policy, the detainees who are fortunate enough to have attorneys can’t easily legally defend themselves. Israel used to be a democracy. What happened to due process?
And need I say, war is never about the people, it’s always about the leaders. The leaders are the ones who pick the fights, and it’s the people who are sent off to die. War is absurd.
We don’t help out nations based on deciding who is the “good” or “bad” guy in each case. In both Ukraine and Israel, and well as in every other country including the USA, you can make a case for the side you like being the good guys and an equally good case for them being the bad guys. Same with their opponents. The United States allocates money based on its’ own self interest, and I would be willing to bet that most Americans are just fine with that.

Please do NOT confuse criticism of the Israeli government’s policies with anti-semitism. They are different and do not overlap.

Seems only fair, right? Or, is that wrong? Mid-Eastern conflicts are confusing.

The Israeli hostages released were taken by HAMAS.
The Palestinians released were held by Netanyahu’s policies.
The Palestinian people, and the Israeli people are guilty of choosing bad leadership.

Israel’s response to the terrorist attack explains why the attack happened in the first place.
