The lake in front of my house usually is frozen over by the first of January so snowmobilers (and often cars) can drive out to their fishing shacks. NOT THIS YEAR!. We are not even going to have a White Christmas here in northernmost Maine. Some of the lake was frozen over last week and less then a half-dozen men had set up their fishing shacks (The tent type.). Well, that didn’t go well as we have had an incredible warm spell and most of the ice has melted and those tents are now either sunk or sitting in so much water when it freezes back over they will not be useable.
