Growing up, a friends dad would always call me random names, I loved it. The same dad who would agree to drive his kids friends places, but in return you had to tell him a decent joke before heâd put it in drive. Once driving home at night in a big flaked snow I remember him having us 3 girls all cram leaning over the front seat together to see how mesmerizing & difficult it is to drive in the snow. Then âsit back & put your seat belts onâ. Super memories.
My thoughts are Mr. Mc said to let Spud know as in âwho are you and what have you done with the real Spud, because he would never part with cheese!â And yes, I do know he never calls Spud by his name, but thatâs how I took it. And that was very nice of Spud.
I love, love, LOVE todayâs strip! Itâs an early Christmas present. Thank you, Mr. Henry. Your cheddarâs in the mail.
As I read it, I was wondering why Spud used the passive âthatâs been eatenâ instead of âIâve eaten,â but the âTell Spud thank youâ joke wouldnât work without it.

Another fine episode in the saga of Dadâs, letâs say, âselectiveâ memory. Well played, Mr. Mc.

I like how Spud went along with Dadâs name game.

Love how the tag is clearly marked FROM SPUD, you know. So that thereâs no confusion.

I thought that box looked like the one he received the other day, and wondered if Spud were passing it on.

Mr MacLellan not knowing Spud is no longer funny, IMHO. For Spud, itâs painful.

Spud couldâve added a small photo of himself in the package. :)

I think Dad knows Spudâs name but enjoys the joke.
